Specialized, respectful care for individuals on the autism spectrum and the families who love them, at every stage from childhood to adulthood.

Every person on the autism spectrum is different, and so are their needs. Some families come in seeking clarity about a child’s development. Others are looking for help with anxiety, attention, mood, sleep, or behavior that is making daily life harder. Adults sometimes arrive with questions they have carried for years.
Dr. B. Harrison Levine, MD, MPH is double board-certified in adult psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. He takes the time to understand each person’s strengths and challenges and works closely with families and other professionals to build care that truly fits.
When additional services would help, Dr. Levine refers to trusted psychologists and therapists. You can read more on our Autism Spectrum Disorder page.

Children and teens on the autism spectrum often have several people supporting them: parents, teachers, therapists, and pediatricians. Dr. Levine works collaboratively with all of these caregivers so that everyone shares the same understanding and goals.
He also treats ADHD, which can occur alongside autism.
Visits take place at our office on Pearl Street in downtown Boulder, or through virtual sessions for patients located in Colorado, whichever feels most comfortable.

A new evaluation lasts up to 1.5 hours. Previous evaluations, school reports, and therapy notes can be helpful to bring along.
Dr. Levine will share his impressions and recommendations and answer your questions, so you leave knowing the next steps.
Follow-up visits help track progress and adjust care as needs change through school, adolescence, and adulthood.
