A whole-person approach that connects your psychiatrist with the family members, schools, and professionals who already know you best.

Mental health care rarely happens in isolation. A child may have a pediatrician, a therapist, teachers, and parents who all see different parts of the picture. An adult may have a primary care doctor, a counselor, and a history with previous providers. When those voices are not connected, important details get lost.
From the very start of working with each patient, Dr. B. Harrison Levine, MD, MPH actively collaborates with current and former caregivers and health care professionals. The goal is a complete, holistic understanding of what is going on, and a treatment plan that everyone can support.
Collaboration is part of every service we offer, from diagnosis and treatment to medication management.

Dr. Levine’s background is rooted in team-based care. At Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado, he developed and directed psychiatric consultation and liaison services, which bring psychiatry together with other medical teams. He also developed a crisis intervention team focused on strengthening alliances with families.
Collaboration always happens with your permission. You decide who is included, and you can ask questions about what information is shared and why.

Call (720) 389-5619 or reach out through our contact page. It helps to have the names of current providers handy.
Your first visit is a new evaluation of up to 1.5 hours. Previous evaluations, school reports, or records from other providers can be useful to bring.
With your consent, Dr. Levine reaches out to the people involved in your care to gather information and share recommendations.
As treatment continues, Dr. Levine stays in touch with your care team and adjusts the plan as needs change.

With your permission, he can coordinate with family members, schools, therapists, psychologists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, and other professionals involved in care.
